Trevisan. La dolorosa impossibilità di una qualsiasi sintesi

Works è un’opera che formalizza una convinzione di Vitaliano Trevisan: il fatto che il mondo contemporaneo non sia interpretabile unitariamente attraverso categorie, e che sia invece leggibile unicamente in termini estensivi. L’impossibilità di una sintesi, percepita nettamente come dolorosa, orienta le scelte stilistiche, espressive e contenutistiche dell’opera, che proprio per questo ha un portato conoscitivo non superficialmente legato al tema (il lavoro) ma profondamente innervato nella struttura della società.

Works is a piece that formalises one of Vitaliano Trevisan’s convictions: that the contemporary world cannot be interpreted uniformly through categories, but can only be understood in broad terms. The impossibility of synthesis, perceived as distinctly painful, guides the stylistic, expressive and content-related choices of the work, which for this very reason has a cognitive impact that is not superficially linked to the theme (work) but deeply ingrained in the structure of society.
